The noted cinematographer, on Thursday, had tweeted a meme that suggested producers favour actresses over technicians when it comes to remunerations. He later deleted the tweet after a few producers, including J Sathish Kumar raised objections.
Actor-producer J Sathish Kumar had tweeted asking Santosh Sivan to apologize.

The Nadigar Sangam too released a statement saying, “Santosh Sivan’s tweet is highly objectionable. We understand the viewpoint of the technicians. Immediate action will be taken regarding the issue.”
Producer SR Prabhu told Silverscreen that a meeting will be organised soon on the issue. “Individually, I don’t want to make any opinion,” he said.
