Santosh Sivan teams up again with Mani Ratnam. Confirming speculations, the ace cinematographer told Silverscreen that he is handling the camera for the director’s next. “Yes, I will be working with Mani Ratnam again. I have no idea when we will start shooting.”
This will be their sixth collaboration. They have worked together in Thalapathi, Roja, Iruvar, Dil Se and Raavanan. Santosh Sivan is currently working on Spyder, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual directed by AR Murugadoss. Spyder is scheduled for a September release.
There is no official announcement about the Mani Ratnam project as yet. It looks like only Santosh Sivan and AR Rahman are on board right now. Reportedly, the Madras Talkies team is in talks with Telugu actor Ram Charan and Aditi Rao Hydari, but is yet to finalise the cast.
