Saranya Mohan has reprised her role in the Hindi remake of Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. Directed by Shailendra Verma, the Hindi version titled Badlapur Boys has Nishan Ninaiah in the lead. We caught up with Saranya who was busy promoting the film. A Bollywood movie was never her dream, she told us. “I am a dancer first and of course, I was happy with the kind of roles and movies I got to do. I didn’t actively work towards this goal, but now that I’m here…in a Hindi film no less, I’m very excited and grateful.”
She is most thankful for her director and co-star, who have been ‘incredibly supportive’. “Naturally, it was an alien environment and a completely new language. So they made sure that I coped well.”
Badlapur Boys is scheduled to release on November 7.
