Sarathkumar Files Criminal Defamation Case Against Vishal

Actor and incumbent president of the Nadigar Sangam, Sarathkumar, has filed a criminal case against Vishal Krishna on the grounds of defamation. Sarathkumar’s advocate, Elangovan, confirmed the news to a TV channel, adding that Sarathkumar has filed the case with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Egmore. In his complaint, Sarathkumar claims that Vishal has been making unfounded allegations against him as a part of his election campaign.

Replying to this development, Vishal stated that he was ready to face the case legally. “My advocate is on the job. Whatever allegations I have made against Mr. Sarathkumar has been based on evidence which is available for everyone to see. As for the irregularities within the Sangam, I have gone by the Court’s judgement, where the judge stated that all was not well within the trust.”

This recent development will further widen the rift between the two actors involved in the Nadigar Sangam issue. The elections will be held on October 18. Even though other film organisations, as well as Sarathkumar’s team, have appealed for compromise, Vishal’s team (the Pandavar Ani) have declared their intention of going ahead with what they call a democratic election process.
