Sasikumar’s Kidaari To Feature Three Prominent Writers In Its Cast

The cast of Kidaari, directed by Prasad Murugesan will feature three prominent Tamil writers: Vela Ramamurthy, Mu Ramaswamy, and Vasumithra. While Vela Ramamurthy has done major roles in the past with films like Madha Yaanai Kootam and Sethupathi, this will be the debut film for the other two writers.

Vela Ramamoorthy was also in the news recently for the tussle between filmmakers Barathiraja and Bala over the rights to the novel Kutra Parambarai, where Ramamoorthy was accused of plagiarism.

Kidaari has Sasikumar playing the lead role. Actress Nikhila, who  acted opposite Sasikumar in his recent release Vetrivel, plays the female lead in this film too. Actress Abhinaya, who has previously worked with Sasikumar in films like Nadodigal and Eesan, will be playing an integral role in Kidaari. This film will also be a comeback of sorts for Napolean, who has not been seen in many films of late.

The director/actor has had two releases this year so far: Bala’s Thaarai Thappatai, where he played the role of a folk music artist, and Vetrivel, a family drama similar to his previous films Naadodigal and Sundarapandian. It is also reported that Sasikmar is most likely to play the lead in director Muthaiah’s next film, which will be funded by actor Vishal.
