Produced under the banner of Nadhambal Film Factory, the film’s team has been shooting for five days and is still scouting for a suitable FM station to shoot the complete film. “Revolving around an FM station, this untouched genre will focus on the kidnapper and the RJ,” says the film director. Sathyaraj plays the RJ, but we don’t know who the villain is. “We all know that Sathyaraj sir is famous for his satire dialogues and this film also contains more of that style. This will be a unique visual treat for the audience,” he added.

Sathyaraj, who began acting in the late 1970s, has been lauded for being one of the few versatile actors in Tamil and Telugu cinema. His last film, Jackson Durai that he acted in along with his son Sibiraj, he played the role of a ghost from the British era. He was even in this year’s Telugu film Brahmotsavam, acting alongside noted actors such as Mahesh Babu, Kajal Agarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and veteran actress Revathi. But his most memorable role in recent times was in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali, where he played Kattapa, the conniving uncle of the lead character.

Sathyaraj has even reportedly expressed his interest in working with newcomers as they bring new ideas to the fore. “I will be playing the role of a station head of a radio channel. It is a very interesting character,” he told TOI in an interview. The last time 62-year-old Sathyaraj played a lead role was in 2015 in Oru Naal Iravil, a thriller directed by film editor Anthony.

The film’s other cast members will soon be revealed.
