Satyadev Kancharana And Tamannaah Bhatia To Star In The Telugu Remake Of Kannada Film ‘Love Mocktail’

Actors ‘Darling’ Krishna and Milana Nagaraj starrer Love Mocktail, that hit screens at the beginning of the year, turned out to be a hit despite the buzz around the film prior to release remaining low. Helmed by Krishna and produced along with Milana under the Krishna Talkies banner, the film was a simple love story told from Krishna’s character’s point of view.

Love Mocktail is now getting a Telugu remake and stars Brochevarevarura fame Satyadev Kancharana and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. The film will be helmed by Kannada director Nagashekar who is known for Myna (2013), marking his debut into Tollywood. Nagashekar is also producing the film under the Nagashekar Movies banner, along with Bhavna Ravi, marking the first production under the banner.

The untitled film will have Satya Hegde on camera, and Kaala Bhairava, son of composer MM Keeravani on music. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be revealed. The project will reportedly go on floors in mid-September.

While Love Mocktail was a complete romantic-drama, Nagashekar has revealed that he would be modifying it for the Telugu audiences by incorporating action in the screenplay. “I have only taken the soul of the original and changed the entire screenplay for the new version. Love Mocktail will now be a romantic action drama and will have a different flavour from the original. I am currently in Hyderabad for discussions. I am glad to start my Telugu directorial debut with this film,” he says.

Apart from the lead pair, Love Mocktail also starred Amrutha Iyengar, Rachana Inder, Abhilaash N, and, Kushi in important roles. It had music by Raghu Dixit and camera & editing by Sri Crazymindzz. The film is getting a sequel, the script puja of which took place last month.
