Sayyeshaa is rumoured to star opposite Puneeth Rajkumar in her Kannada debut. The film, directed by Santhosh Anandramm, has been titled Yuvaratna and will go on floors on February 14.
According to a TNIE report, Sayyeshaa has been chosen to play the female lead in Yuvaratna. The movie would mark Rajkumar’s second collaboration with Santhosh Anandramm who along with the actor had given 2017’s Raajakumara. Written by the director himself, the movie featured Priya Anand in the female lead and went on to become a huge hit.
Yuvaratna would feature Puneeth in the role of a college going student. The movie comes with the tagline ‘Power of Youth.’ Vijay Kiragandur, who had produced the director’s Raajakumara is producing the new movie under his banner Hombale Films. The company had also produced last year’s big-budget film KGF (Kolar Gold Fields). V Harikrishna will compose music for Yuvaratna.
Meanwhile, Rajkumar’s Nata Sarvabhouma recently hit theatres. Directed by Pavan Wadeyar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh under his banner Rockline Productions, the movie featured Rachita Ram and Anupama Parameshwaran as the female leads.

After the completion of Yuvaratna, the actor will start shooting for James. Touted as a mass entertainer, the movie is directed by Bahaddhur and Bharjari fame Chethan Kumar and produced by Kishore Pathikonda. According to a CE report, the film would ‘channel James Bond.’ The shooting for the film is scheduled to begin on March 17.
Sayyeshaa was last seen alongside Arya in Ghajinikanth. Having debuted opposite Akhil Akkineni in Akhil, the actress has gone on to star in Hindi and a slew of Tamil movies including Vanamagan and Kadaikutty Singam. She is currently shooting for K.V. Anand’s Kaappaan.
Featuring, Mohanlal and Surya in the lead, the movie also stars Arya and Boman Irani and is an action thriller.
