Sekhar Kammula’s Next With Naga Chaitanya And Sai Pallavi Goes On Floors

Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi will be seen together on screen for the first time in Happy Days and Fidaa-fame Sekhar Kammula’s upcoming project. The untitled film, speculated to be a romantic musical, went on floors yesterday in Hyderabad. This is Sekhar’s first project with Chaitanya and second with Pallavi, who became a household name in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh after Fidaa, which marked her debut in the Telugu industry.

The pictures of the actors from the set have created a lot of buzz amongst  fans.

Reportedly, both the actors will speak in the Telangana dialect in the film. Incidentally, Pallavi dubbed for Fidaa in the same dialect, and a video of the dubbing session was hugely popular on YouTube. This is Chaitanya’s 20th film, and he will be seen as a village youth who migrates to the city in search of a livelihood. The film is being presented by Amigos Creations, and produced by Narayan Das K Narang and P Ram Mohan Rao under Sri Venkateswara Cinemas’ LLP banner.

Following the tremendous success of Fidaa, Sekhar Kammula had started work on a youthful entertainer, but the project that was supposed to star newcomers was dropped since he was not very happy with the script, it was reported.

Pallavi, who has had a couple of false starts in Tamil, most recently with Selvaraghavan’s Suriya-starrer NGK, plays a naxalite in Venu Udugula’s period drama Virata Parvam 1992. The film features Rana Daggubati and Nandita Das in pivotal roles.
