Director Selvaraghavan known for his cult classics Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, Aayirathil Oruvan, and several others will now be turning actor for a film titled Saani Kaayidham. Helmed by Arun Matheswaran whose film Rockyis still awaiting release, and bankrolled by Screen Scene Media Entertainment, the film will reportedly be a multilingual and will star Keerthy Suresh opposite the director. The announcement was made through a poster.
The poster features the backshot of Selva donning a shirt and half trousers with a knife in hand on the left and a saree-draped Keerthy with a gun in hand and sickle on the back on the right. They’re seen to be opposing a blood-smeared van with beaming headlights and a bunch of men.
The makers took to Twitter to announce the news. They managed to build suspense around the announcement by putting out a poster that said ‘Savithri comes to Pudhupettai’.

While the rest of the cast is yet to be revealed, Yamini Yagnamurthy is handling camera, Ramu Thangaraj is on art, with Nagooran handling edit. Sivam C Kabilan has designed the poster.

Meanwhile, the teaser of Keerthy’s Good Luck Sakhi dropped on August 15 morning. The actress plays a sharpshooter in the film. Last seen in Penguin, she will also feature in Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, Miss India, and Rang De.
Selvaraghavan, on the other hand, is prepping up for Pudhupettai 2 with Dhanush. He also has Mannavan Vanthanadi and Nenjam Marappathillai, the statuses of which are unknown.
