Director Selvaraghavan’s film Kaan has been temporarily put on hold due to financial issues. The film is being funded by Glo Studios, a joint venture between Selvaraghavan and his wife Gitanjali Selvaraghavan. 20% of the shooting has been completed. Kaan was on course until August, after which updates from the cast and crew had ceased.
The team and I have taken a mutual call to temporary put the project on hold . It’s great to know that we all share the same vision.

The director also added that Kaan was close to his heart and that he would resume the shoot in 2016.
We will resume the project next year once we have restructured the finances. In the meantime I will miss working with Simbu and the crew. — selvaraghavan (@selvaraghavan) October 13, 2015
Further, according to sources, Selvaraghavan will be teaming up with actor Dhanush for a film, which could be a sequel to the classic film Pudhupettai. Currently, Dhanush is shooting for Prabhu Solomon’s untitled film, and also has an untitled film with Durai Sethilkumar in the pipeline, along with Vetri Maaran’s Vada Chennai.
After Irandam Ulagam failed at the box-office, director Selvaraghavan had gone on a three year sabbatical. Kaan stars STR, Taapsee Pannu, Catherine Tresa, and Jagapathi Babu.
