Director Selvaraghavan’s next is a horror film titled Nenjam Marappathillai. The film has SJ Suryah and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles, and actress Nanditha Shweta playing an important role. According to an IANS report, the project would be produced by director Gautham Vasudev Menon. Composer Santhosh Narayanan will score tunes for the film. The movie was launched in Chennai on January 28.

The IANS report quoted a source as saying, “It’s not a remake of the Tamil classic of the same name. This is an original script, a no-nonsense horror film.”
Selvaraghavan’s last film, Irandaam Ulagam, came out in 2013. The film, starring Arya and Anushka Shetty, was a box-office failure. In 2015, he wrote Malai Nerathu Mayakkam, the directorial debut of his wife, Geethanjali.
Gautham Menon is now working on his Tamil-Telugu bilingual Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, starring STR and Manjima Mohan.
