The Income Tax Department of India has provisionally attached Shah Rukh Khan’s Alibaug farmhouse under the new Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Amended Act, 2016, reported The Indian Express.
According to the tax probe, Shah Rukh through Deja Vu Farms had made an application for the purchase of an agricultural land in Alibaug for farming, however, the actor converted the land into a farmhouse for personal use.

The action was taken after the Income Tax officials were convinced that the property belongs to the actor despite the fact that it’s registered under someone else’s name. Reports say that the official website of Deja Vu farm is registered under the names of Gauri Khan’s father Ramesh Chibba, her mother Savita Chibba and her sister Namita Chibba as its directors.
The farmhouse spread across 20,000 square metres has a swimming pool and private helipad. The report suggests that SRK gave an unsecured loan of Rs 8.5 crore to Deja Vu Farms.
This was not the first time that the actor is accused of tax evasion. He was once charged by the Income Tax Department for his foreign investments in Dubai and the British Virgin Islands.
