Actress Shalini’s sister Shamilee, along with newcomer Swetha Ashok have been signed to play the lead roles in actor Vikram Prabhu’s upcoming film with Ganesh Vinayaac, of Thagararu fame. The film has been provisionally titled Veera Shivaji and will begin shooting in September. An official confirmation on the title is expected shortly. The film will be produced by S Nanthagopal of Madras Enterprises, who had previously funded Romeo Juliet. Actress Shamilee hasn’t acted in any films since her award-winning performance in Oye!, for which she won the CineMAA Best Female Debut award.
