We had earlier reported that Annakodi actor Lakshman has been signed on to play the male lead in the sequel to director Suseenthiran’s Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu.
The Times of India has now reported that the movie will go on floors on April 23. Apparently, director Suseenthiran selected Lakshman Narayan after seeing his performance in Vishnu Vishal starrer Jeeva.

The sequel, however, will be directed by Shekhar, an associate of director Suseenthiran. The latter had penned the screenplay for Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu. The technical team has been retained, and actor Kishore, who was seen as a coach in Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu, will be seen in an important role.
Music director Selvaganesh will be scoring the tunes while cinematographer Madhie will be cranking the camera for the sequel as well.
