After making her acting debut in the 2008 Telugu film Siddu from Sikakulam, Shraddha Das starred in Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and other language films.

She also acted in a few Hindi movies like Madhur Bhandarkar’s Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, and Anubhav Sinha’s Zid. Her last Hindi film was Babumoshai Bandookbaaz in 2017, starring Nawazzudin Siddiqui.

She is now hired by the Ayogya team for a song inspired by the hit number Blockbuster from Sarraunodu. The makers previously considered Shruti Haasan and Sunny Leone for the song, reports DC.

“The filmmakers were impressed with Shraddha’s dance moves in her earlier films. Since the audience too appreciates someone who is expressive, they have decided to cast Shraddha for the part,” said a source. The actress has reportedly started shooting for the song.

Jointly produced by Vishal Film Factory and Tagore Madhu, Ayogya is Vishal’s 26th film as an actor. Raashi Khanna plays the female lead in the film. R Parthiepan, KS Ravikumar, Sachu, Vamsi and Pooja play other roles. Sam CS is the music composer, R Karthik is the DOP, and Ruben is the editor.

The film’s original version in Telugu, Temper, released in 2015. It was an action film written by Vakkantham Vamsi and directed by Puri Jagannadh, with Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal playing lead roles. The film is said to revolve around a heinous rape and how it changes a corrupt police officer. It may be noted that Temper was recently remade in Hindi as Simmba starring Ranveer Singh in the lead and the film has turned out to be a blockbuster.
