Shuddhi fame actor, Shashank Purushotham will be seen in Karthik Subbaraj’s next, Mercury. He will be seen playing the lead in the movie while Prabhu Deva plays the villain.

Actor-director Prabhu Deva will be donning the role of a baddie for the first time in his career, while Pizza fame Remya Nambeesan is the female lead.
According to a TNM report, the actor is excited to share screen-space with Prabhu Deva which will also mark his debut in the Tamil film industry.
Mercury will be bankrolled by Karthik Subbaraj’s banner, Stone Bench Talkies and will have music composed by Santhosh Narayanan. It is said to be a huge experiment for the director as the movie will have no dialogues in it.
