Sibiraj has signed on to be a part of Saithaan director Pradeep Krishnamurthy’s next project. The Jackson Durai actor made the announcement through his official Twitter account.

The project will be produced under Sibiraj’s home banner, Nathambal Film Factory. Interestingly, Pradeep’s debut film, Saithaan with Vijay Antony, is yet to release. The horror film is all set to hit the screens this Deepavali. According to reports, it was Vijay Antony who recommended Pradeep Krishnamurthy to Sibiraj.
The team will begin filming after the casting of major roles, that it is currently on. A source close to the team tells us that the project may go on the floors in November this year.
Sibiraj, son of veteran actor Sathyaraj, debuted with Student No 1 in 2003. Since then, the actor has worked in ten films as the male lead. Five of these has the actor in roles alongside his father.

At present, Sibiraj is hard at work on the quirky comedy, Kattappava Kaanom. Sibi Raj plays an IT professional while Aishwarya Rajesh plays an urban girl in the movie. A specially trained fish named Kattapa, also has an important role. Actor Vijay Sethupathi makes his voice-acting debut with this film. The actor will be the voice of the mischievous fish Kattapa.
At the film’s press meet, the director said that Kattapava Kaanom explored concepts of luck and chance, and the conclusion of the film had been left “open ended”. The director also confirmed that the scenes with the fish were mostly shot live and used minimal Computer Generated (CG) effects.
Kattappava Kaanom is scheduled to release next month.
