Sid Sriram Sings For D.Imman Once Again In ‘Bakrid’

The current sensational singer Sid Sriram has joined music composer D Imman for the Vikranth-starrer Bakrid, directed by Jagadeesan Subbu of Sigai fame. Imman took to his twitter handle to announce the news.

The film’s team had earlier said that exciting announcements were on the way. The first single Aalanguruvigalaa by Sriram, with lyrics by Mani Amuthavan, will release today. This is the second time Sriram and Imman have come together after their collaboration for Kannaana Kanney in Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam, which became a huge hit.

Meanwhile, the teaser of the film starring Vikranth and Vasundhra of Peranmai fame in the lead, was recently unveiled by celebrities like AR Murugadoss, Atlee, Vijay Sethupathi, Vishnu Vishal and Arya. Going by the teaser, Vikranth buys a camel but struggles to take care of it as the animal doesn’t cope with the weather here. Vikranth tries to take the camel to Rajasthan, but seems to have a tough time doing it.

The teaser makes it evident that he plays the role of someone who is sensitive to animals. Talking about the film to Deccan Chronicle, Vikranth said, “It’s a different kind of a film and I think for the first time a camel is being brought on board as part of the script. I loved the story when Jagadeesan Subbu narrated it. All I could say for now is the movie will have a larger message of ‘Save the Camel’.”

“We got a camel named Sarah from Rajasthan and I got trained with it for a month. It’s a travel story and we shot in various locations including in Chennai, Manali, Maharashtra, Pune, Rajasthan and Goa. It was a mind-blowing experience,” he further added.
