Siddharth’s Next Is A Rural Drama Directed By Maria

Actor Siddharth, who was the sole male voice, and active supporter of the #MeToo movement, is now all set to be seen in a rural drama directed by debutant Maria, an erstwhile associate of director Balaji Tharaneetharan.

Talking about the film to The New Indian Express Maria said that the film is a drama set in a rural background, and will be the first such role for the actor, who has so far done mainly urban roles. The music for the film is composed by Govind Vasantha, who had earlier composed for 96, which is still fetching rave reviews ever since its release. Details of cast and crew are yet to be announced.

Siddharth was last seen in Tamil horror-thriller Aval directed by Milind Rao, and made his Malayalam debut with Kammara Sambhavam, which also statted Dileep and Bobby Simha. The film did reasonably well in the box office. Meanwhile he has a Netflix series directed by Deepa Mehta, an untitled film directed by Sasi and co-starring GV Prakash Kumar, and Shaitan Ka Bachcha directed by Karthik G. Krish and featuring Raashi Khanna in the lead, while Vamsi Krishna, Yogi Babu play pivotal roles. Music for this film is by Santhosh Narayanan.
