Simbu Reverses Stand; Asks Fans To Celebrate ‘Vantha Rajavathan Varuven’

Actor Simbu, who recently requested his fans not to place cut-outs, banners, or do paal abhishekam for his film, has now released a video saying he wants his fans to do all of it. He asks fans to celebrate his upcoming Vantha Rajavathan Varuven like never before.

In the recent video released on his Instagram profile, the actor says, “Erect huge cut-outs and banners in sizes bigger than before… do paal abhishekam, not just in liters but in gallons.”

This comes after his first request, following which there were talks that the actor was making the request only for publicity, when in reality he doesn’t have too many fans to celebrate his film. It seems like the actor has now taken this rough turn to prove to his critics that he does have a huge fan base.

In his response video, he says, “Earlier, I released a video requesting my fans not to shell out extra money for tickets and asked them not to erect banners or do paal abhishekam to my cut-outs. Many pointed out that I do not have a fan base and that I’m doing this for publicity. They also said that I have only 2 to 3 fans.”

Mocking this, he says, “Since I have only very few fans, I’m requesting those few fans of mine to erect as many ever banners and cut-outs as they wish to. And when you do paal abhishekams, make sure you use huge containers and not milk cartons. You should celebrate the film like never before. This is what I expect from you all. It is of no harm that my fans are very less in number.”

In his previous two-minute video released during Pongal, the actor had also asked his fans not to buy black tickets and not to shell out extra money to watch anyone’s film. He said fans could gift their parents and share the photos and videos of that instead.

Simbu’s Vantha Rajavathan Varuven is directed by Sundar C, and stars Megha Akash and Catherine Tresa as the female leads. Music is by Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi and Jeeva. Produced by Lyca Production, the film is all set to hit the screens on February 1, ahead of the actor’s birthday on February 3.
