Octogenarian filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao plays a pianist in Kanche, a love story set against the backdrop of second World War. “He appears in just two scenes. Although it’s a cameo, the audience will like the role,” director Krish told Silverscreen.
Singeetham’s look in the film has been inspired from Colonel Harland Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, otherwise known as KFC. “We stumbled upon this look as we were researching. We instantly liked it,” said Krish, who considers it as an honour to have worked with Singeetham. The film features Varun Tej and debutante Pragya Jaiswal in the lead, while Srinivas Avasarala and Nikitin Dheer play important roles.
