After working together in films like Varuthapadatha Valiba Sangam and Rajinimurugan, which were box office successes, actor Sivakarthikeyan will work with director Ponram for the third time in his next project. In February, it was reported that Lawrence would act in Ponram’s next film, but according to a Times of India report, the project did not go through, and therefore, Sivakarthikeyan will star in the film instead.
The director’s previous films, both with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, had similar rural themes where Sivakarthikeyan played the unemployed, spoilt young man. It is said that their next film, though, will be of a different genre. The film will have Ponram’s regular team, consisting of Soori as a supporting actor and D Imman as the music composer. The project is expected to go on the floor after Sivakarthikeyan completes his current project Remo, which is in the post-production stage. His next film will be with director Mohan Raja, with Nayanthara as the other lead.
