Sivakarthikeyan took to social media to unveil the poster of the film, that has been billed as a satirical crime drama. “Loved the film #OruKidayinKarunaiManu from director @sureshsangaiah.. here is his next film #SathiyaSodhanai with @Premgiamaren brother.. happy to release this first look & my best wishes to the entire team for a huge success,” he wrote along with the first look poster.
Sathiya Sodhanai features Premgi Amaran in the lead role and co-stars Auto Shankar-fame Swayam Siddha and Bigg Boss Tamil-fame Reshma Pasupuleti. Music for the film has been composed by Raghuraam and the film will be produced by Sameer Bharat Raam and bankrolled under the Super Talkies and Touchwood Studiosbanners. V Gurunathan is penning dialogues for the film.
The poster illustrates Premgi Amaren wearing a police officer’s cap in a police station with police officers crouching around him and an old lady sporting a white saree, a police cap, and holding a baton. The title of the film is written in a mix of green and orange colours.
Premgi Amaren, who is generally seen in comical roles, made his debut as a lead actor with the 2015 film Maanga. The film, shot in and around Aruppukottai, was shot before the lockdown had been announced. Filmmaker Suresh Sangaiah had made his directorial debut in 2017 with Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu, which also had a satirical theme.
Premgi Amaran had earlier posted a video announcing the title reveal of the film by actor R Madhavan. In the video, Premgi Amaren mentioned that the film was in its post-production phase and would be released as soon as the pandemic eased. The title poster released by R.Madhavan on his Twitter page has the tagline ‘a satirical journey to truth’.
