Sivakarthikeyan’s next film, written and directed by PS Mithran, will start shoot from February. The actor and director are working together for the first time. The project has been tentatively titled SK15, and will be jointly produced by KJR Studios and 24 AM Studios.
Mithran, who last made Irumbuthirai with Vishal, Samantha Akkineni in the lead, and Arjun Sarja as the antagonist, has retained most of the team for SK15. Arjun Sarja has an important role. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography is by George C Williams, and Ruben is the editor.
Sivakarthikeyan has two other films in production currently. The title and first look poster of his film with director M Rajesh, of Siva Manasula Sakthi fame, will be revealed soon. This is his first collaboration with the director. It’s a comedy entertainer with Nayanthara in the lead, starring Sathish, Radhika Sarathkumar and others. Shoot is expected to complete this month.
His big budget science fiction film with Rakul Preet Singh, directed by Ravi Kumar of Netru Indru Naalai fame, is in its pre-production stage. Reports suggest that the film has been put on hold due to budget constrains. It was scheduled for a 2020 release.
The actor made his debut production recently with Kanaa, directed by Arunraja Kamaraj. The film starred Aishwarya Rajesh, Sathyaraj and Dharshan in lead roles, with Sivakarthikeyan in a supporting role.
His next production venture is with debut director Karthik Venugopal, starring VJ Rio in the lead. Karthik is a popular YouTuber who gained fame for his channel Black Sheep Tamil. A spokesperson for this film told Silverscreen that Sivakarthikeyan might also star in the film. This has not been confirmed yet.
