Sneha has reportedly signed a new film with Malayalam actor Mammootty. The film will mark her return to the Malayalam Film Industry after a six year break. According to a Times of India report, Sneha will play the role of Mammootty’s wife in this film directed by Haneef Adeni. Adeni in June had announced that the film would be a family-thriller with Mammootty in a stylish role.
Sneha’s last Malayalam film was Shikkar in 2010, which had Mohanlal in the lead role. Interestingly, she made her debut in cinema with a Malayalam film back in 2000. The film was titled Ingane Oru Nilapakshi where she starred opposite Malayalam actor Kunchacko Boban.
After her debut, Sneha featured in a number of South Indian films, mostly Tamil and Telugu.
This project is Sneha’s third with Actor Mammootty. She had worked alongside the actor in two other films in the past – Thuruppu Gulan (2006) and Pramaani (2010).
The untitled film will also include child actress Sara Arjun playing the couple’s daughter in the film. Sara is best known for her performance in Deiva Thirumagal where she played actor Vikram’s daughter.
The film is reportedly produced by actor Prithviraj, director Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan, and Tamil actor Arya, under their banner August Cinema. Prithviraj will also be seen in a cameo in the film. The shooting is scheduled to start at the end of this month.
More details about the cast and crew are expected to be revealed soon.
