Sonakshi Sinha will reportedly play a trapeze artiste in Bollywood choreographer Bosco Martis’ directorial debut, Circus. The film will be a musical and will have Suniel Shetty play father to Sonakshi’s character.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Shetty said, “It’s an ambitious, intense story with a larger-than-life set-up. I’m looking forward to filming with Sonakshi.”
The supporting cast will include trained performers, while the leads will train with gymnasts and acrobats to work on their stance and balance. There will also be extensive action and dance sequences with fire and water acts, and workshops in the pipeline before the first schedule takes off in the US next month.
Last year, it was reported that Kangana Ranaut would star in the film along with Sooraj Pancholi. She walked out of the film citing date issues. Parineeti Chopra was later approached, but she walked out, too. It was only recently that Sonakshi decided to be a part of the project.
Sonakshi was last seen in Sunhil Sippy’s Noor this year. She also recently wrapped up her 2018 release, Ittefaq, with Sidharth Malhotra.
