Sonia Agarwal is all set to star in a horror thriller, after a long-hiatus from the big screen. The Tamil-Malayalam bi-lingual will be helmed by Shijinlal.

Agalya is also touted to be a ‘women-centric’ movie; it doesn’t have a male lead. Speaking to the Deccan Chronicle, Shijinlal said that the movie will be different from the regular horror flicks. “It is a hardcore scare-fest on the lines of Hollywood horror movies which contain real frightening scenes. Sonia has a solid character,” he added.
An ‘A-lister’ will be roped in to play an extended cameo, and the details will be announced soon. The dubbed versions of the film (which went on floors recently), will be released in Hindi, Telugu and Kannada simultaneously along with the original version.
Sonia Agarwal has also signed up to play the role of a cop in Evanavan.
