Sooraj Pancholi, whose last and only film was Hero, has signed up for an action-film to be directed by Prabhu Deva. DNA reports that Sooraj and Prabhu Deva were in talks for a while, but things have been firmed up now.
DNA further quotes a source who said, “Unlike other Prabhu (Deva) films, it’s not a masala action comedy. The action here will be stylised and shot, Hollywood style. It’s not larger-than-life, unlike South movie remakes. It will definitely have a lot of song-and-dance.”

Production for the film will begin later this year, as Sooraj is currently shooting for Farook Kabir’s Hafiz. Hafiz is an action film too, and will be shot in Morocco. Prabhu Deva has also confirmed that he is directing Abhishek Bachchan, in Lefty.
DC quotes Prabhu Deva as saying, “We’re still working on the script. Meanwhile, I am back in Chennai.”
