Superstar Rajinikanth’s family is happy with the success of the movie Petta; but they have another personal reason to celebrate too. Rajinikanth’s second daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth is all set to remarry businessman-turned-actor Vishagan Vanangamudi on February 11 in Chennai. Actor Vishagan is the son of the industrialist Vanangamudi, who has been the owner of a pharmaceutical company for the past 40 years.
Soundarya Rajinikanth was earlier married the Chennai-based businessman Ashwin Ramkumar, and they have a son named Ved Krishna. After six years of married life, the couple filed divorce in 2016 due to some differences. They got divorced in 2017. In her professional life, she is a well-known director, producer and graphic designer. Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 was her last directorial venture. It starred Dhanush, Kajol and others, and elicited average reviews unlike the prequel which was well received. Part one had Dhanush and Amala Paul as the leads, and Saranya Ponvannan and Amitash Pradhan in important roles. Soundarya’s 2014 directorial Kochadaiyaan featuring Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone, didn’t do well at the box office. Following its failure, Rajinikanth had promised to settle the distributors and producers’ losses.

Actor Vishagan made his acting debut in the movie Vanjagar Ulagam which released in 2018. Earlier, he married his love interest Kanikha Kumaran, but the couple divorced a few months after their wedding. Kanikha is the granddaughter of the politician KP Kandasamy.
Soundarya Rajinikanth and Vishagan got engaged at a private event last year, and recently, Soundarya along with her mother Latha Rajinikanth visited Tirupathi Tirumala with the wedding invitation. It is expected that the pre-wedding celebrations will begin on February 9 at Poes Garden, Chennai.
