The Tamil Nadu film industry along with Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries will go on strike from March 2 to protest against the Digital Service Providers (DSPs) for increasing the Virtual Print Fee (VPF) .

The decision was taken after a recent meeting held by the representatives of the four film industries in Hyderabad. While the cinema theatres will be operational, there will be no new releases from March 1. However, this applies to only regional movies, Hindi and English movies will release as per schedule.
