Spirit: Prabhas’ 25th Film To Be Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga

Spirit is the title of actor Prabhas’ 25th film, which is set to be directed by filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the makers of the film announced on social media on Thursday.


The upcoming film will mark the actor’s maiden collaboration with Vanga, who has previously helmed the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy (2017), and its Hindi remake Kabir Singh in 2019.

Vanga has also written the script of Spirit, which will be produced by Bhushan Kumar under T Series Entertainments. The same banner earlier backed Prabhas’ Saaho, and is also producing the actor’s upcoming films Radhe Shyam and Adipurush.

Spirit is touted to be made on a big scale and the poster suggests that the film will be released in multiple Asian languages, such as Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Chinese, Thai, and Japanese.

The project is expected to go on floors in 2022, as per a statement from the makers. However, the rest of the cast and crew is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Prabhas has a slew of pan-Indian films lined up. His romantic drama Radhe Shyam, co-starring Pooja Hegde, is slated to hit theatres on January 14, 2022. Written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, it is set in 70s Europe.

The actor is also headlining Om Raut’s screen adaptation of the epic Ramayana, Adipurush, which stars Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. The film is scheduled to release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada on August 11, 2022.


In addition to those, Prabhas also has Nag Ashwin’s multilingual sci-fi film, co-starring Deepika Padukone, and another multilingual project with director Prashanth Neel – an underworld action thriller titled Salaar, with Shruti Haasan.

Vanga, on the other hand, is working on his second Hindi directorial titled Animal with actor Ranbir Kapoor. The film was announced on January 1, 2021. Expected to be a crime drama, it will also feature actors Anil KapoorBobby Deol, and Parineeti Chopra in prominent roles. This film will again be produced by T Series.
