Telugu actress Sri Reddy accused actor Vishal of sexually exploiting and harassing his female costars in a series of posts on Facebook. She also backed Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s decision to not vote for Vishal in the upcoming Nadigar Sangam elections.
On Saturday, Sri Reddy posted on her Facebook page that she had the details of Vishal’s harassment and fraudulent activities, and knew three people who were exploited by him.
She also accused the actor and producer of casting couch, and said, “Without taking sexual commitment, he will not work. If any lady gives her commitment, they will get a good career through him. He will also praise them on stage.”
She further said she did not speak up earlier because she wanted to out him during the Nadigar Sangam elections. This morning, she posted that she supported Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
On June 14, Varalaxmi slammed Vishal for remarks against Sarathkumar, her father and former Nadigar Sangam president, in one of Vishal’s team’s promotional videos.
She said it was shocking to see him harp on her father’s past (the pending Nadigar Sangam land dispute in which Sarathkumar and Radha Ravi were accused), especially when he himself has not proven himself as an able leader.
She said she has always been there for him as a friend, but he had taken it too far. “Everyone knows your double standards and lies. If you were such a saint, I don’t think people from your own so-called Pandavar Ani would have left and created a group to bring you down,” she wrote.

Vishal is the general secretary of Nadigar Sangam and president of Tamil Film Producers’ Council. He is currently busy with campaigns for the upcoming elections on June 23, where he will contest with Nasser, Karthi, Karunas and others. He has not responded to Varalaxmi and Sri Reddy yet.
In 2018, Sri Reddy was in the news for her allegations of sexual misconduct against Tamil and Telugu actors and directors. She accused Nani, Raghava Lawrence, Sundeep Kishan, Srikanth, AR Murugadoss and Sundar C. The charges were denied by all of them, and Nani even initiating legal action against her.
Vishal had also backed Nani, and asked Sri Reddy for evidence before making ‘outrageous’ allegations against a star like Nani. “She should come forward with evidence of her accusations rather than just naming anyone. It seems like she’s picking her targets randomly. For all we know, I might be the next one to be named by her,” he said.
