Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu has grossed approximately Rs 62 crore worldwide in its opening weekend, according to trade pundits. The Koratala Siva-directed film collected a whopping Rs 31 crore on its release day, making it the fourth biggest opening for an Indian film.
In the US box-office, the film crossed the $2 million mark in the opening weekend, becoming the second Telugu film to achieve that rare feat after Rajamouli’s Baahubali. Srimanthudu, which is jointly produced by Mythri Movies and Mahesh himself, also stars Shruti Haasan, Rajendra Prasad, Jagapathi Babu and Sukanya in important roles.
