The Telugu and Hindi satellite rights of Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu have been bagged for a whopping Rs 17 crore by Zee Network. The Koratala Siva-directed film is slated for theatrical release on August 7. Also starring Shruti Haasan, the film is about the journey of a multimillionaire who decides to adopt a village, and the challenges he encounters in the process.
The film, which features Jagapathi Babu and Rajendra Prasad in key roles, is jointly produced by Mahesh and Mythri Movie Makers. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the tunes.
