STR (Silambarasan) is likely to star in Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s next film.
Earlier reports had indicated that actor Dhanush would produce Kiruthiga’s film, but he appears to have backed out due to other commitments. Dhanush is currently producing The Vijay Sethupathi – Nayanthara starrer Naanum Rowdy Thaan and his brother Selvaraghavan’s unannounced film.

Although there is no word yet on who will bankroll Kiruthiga’s film, there is a strong likelihood that she has roped in actor STR for the lead role. Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi was unavailable for comment* when contacted.
Kiruthiga debuted as a director with the rom-com Vanakkam Chennai, which was produced by her husband Udhayanidhi Stalin and had Shiva and Priya Anand in lead roles.
