STR has reportedly made plans to revive Kettavan. The film, with Namitha and Lekha Washington in female lead roles, was announced in 2007. About forty percent of the film was shot before it was abandoned due to unknown reasons.
A source close to the actor confirms:
“There are talks with the film’s original director GT Nandhu to help revive Kettavan. The idea is to let STR direct the remaining half of the film, and share directorial credits with Nandhu. At this point, everything is at the initial stages.”
STR’s father, T Rajendar, too confirmed that they were thinking about reviving Kettavan. “It’s too early to confirm,” TR added.
Yuvan Shankar Raja was signed on to compose the music for Kettavan. It is likely that he will continue in the same capacity for the revived version as well.
