Cine Employees’ Strike Halts Shooting Of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’

After the mob attack in Jaipur and the vandalism incident in Kolhapur, now strike called by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has hampered the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.

According to a report in Mid-Day, “The crew was shooting for 18 hours a day to meet the deadline, now, they are barely able to shoot for 10 hours a day due to reduced staff strength.The production house has informed Bhansali that he cannot delay further due to monetary constraints.”

Members of the FWICE  have gone on strike demanding medical insurance and eight-hour shifts. The strike is now being supported by Saroj Khan, Sham Kaushal and Binod Pradhan.
