#SuchiLeaks Will Return As Comedy, Says Suchitra’s Husband Karthik

Just when the brouhaha around singer Suchitra Karthik’s tweets (#SuchiLeaks) seemed to have died down, actor and comedian Karthik Kumar (also Suchitra’s husband) has now announced a plan to use the material from the controversy for his stand-up comedy show. Karthik took to Facebook to share his idea of turning the controversy into comic material.

The episode with the new material will release on September 2017 and is expected to be titled “What’s it about?” with Suchitra herself visible in the video, engrossed in a book.

Earlier, a slew of pictures and tweets had appeared on singer Suchitra Karthik’s Twitter handle, taking potshots aimed at actor Dhanush, Anirudh, and others. The couple’s differing versions on the incident also added to the confusion, as Suchitra maintained from the beginning that her account had been hacked, whereas Karthik said on his Facebook status that his wife “was under some stress and her actions [tweets], were an indication of an underlying mental issue.”

The controversy also hit a new low when graphic pictures of actresses Trisha, Sanchita Shetty, Hansika Motwani, and others were posted. Back-to-back complaints had the Chennai Cyber Cell quickly removing Suchitra’s account from Twitter. As per a report in the Indian Express, the singer had told a TV channel that she wasn’t behind the tweets, and that she was also working through a divorce from her husband, Karthik Kumar.
