Sulile Kumar (Thangaaru) will play a negative role in director Ameer’s next, titled Santhana Devan and starring actor Sathya. The film is about the controversial Tamil sport Jallikattu, which was banned before sustained protests in Tamil Nadu led to the ban being lifted.

Speaking to the Times of India, Sulile said, “Since Ameer sir had already seen my films like Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum, I didn’t even have to audition for the role. When I met him, he briefed me about the film and what my role would be. I am not allowed to reveal any details about it, but it will be a negative role.”
Santhana Devan will be mostly shot in Theni. “We will begin shooting for the film by February second week,” said Sulile.
The actor is currently shooting for Dora, which stars Nayanthara. Speaking about his role in the movie, he says it will be very different from his character in Santhana Devan. “Even though both these films have me as baddies, they belong to different genres, so the characters are completely different,” he said.
