Being a popular face from the 90s, this film marks a sort of comeback for the actress in Tamil cinema. She was last seen in Ajith’s Aarambam. Dhananjayan G, of Creative Entertainers and Distributors, interacted with the media regarding this development. He said, “We are very happy to have Suman on board to play this role. Unfortunately, Pooja Kumar had to return to the US for some personal reasons, and couldn’t be a part of the film.”

The producer went on to add, “She already knows the nuances of this role, since she has played it before. She is happy to be working in a Tamil film after a long hiatus. She has already completed shooting her portions, which includes a grand song sequence that we filmed in Chennai.”

The film is progressing at a good pace, despite this change in casting. G Dhananjayan, who prefers to be referred to as the creative producer of the movie since he is also involved in writing the adapted screenplay and dialogues along with John Mahendran, said that only 20 more days are left for the entire shoot to wrap up.
