Director-actor Sundar C will direct the 100th film produced by Sri Thenandal Films. In a recent interview, Sunday C said that the film would have a bigger budget than SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali and Shankar film with Rajinikanth 2.0.
Planned as a trilingual, the film will be made in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Sundar C has said that the cast will have a number of stars, along with a prominent south Indian actor in the lead. There is some speculation that Suriya might play the lead.
Sundar C also said that he had been working on the script for the past eight months. Tamil writer Prapanchan, who won the Sahitya Akademi award for his novel Vaanam Vasappadum, has written the story. Bhadri Narayanan is also working on the script.
Sabu Cyril is the film’s production designer and RC Kamala Kannan is the VFX supervisor.
Meanwhile, Sundar C’s Muthina Kathirika, where he acts as a minor politician, releases today. He is currently directing Kalakalapu 2, a sequel to his 2012 comedy Kalakalapu.
