Sundeep Kishan, the actor who was last seen in Telugu sports drama A1 Express, will star in filmmaker VI Anand’s upcoming Telugu film, the makers announced on social media on the occasion of the actor’s birthday on Friday.
The film will be Sundeep’s 28th film. While it will be written and directed by Anand, it will mark the duo’s second collaboration after the Telugu romantic action-drama Tiger (2015).
Tentatively titled SK28, the film is expected to be a supernatural fantasy drama. It will be produced by Rajesh Danda under the banner Hasya Movies. Balaji Gutta will serve as co-producer.
“The makers have already started with the pre-production of the film and the script has been finalised. Once the other commitments of Sundeep get over, he will start working on this film,” the film’s publicity manager Vamsi Shekar told Silverscreen India,
While the poster of the film says “shoot begins when safe”, Vamsi said that owing to the “present situation”, the team is waiting until the situation is safe to start shooting.
“The first schedule will start in Hyderabad and a big set will be constructed. Other locations are not yet decided since there are visa and travel restrictions to go to other countries due to lockdown,” he added.

The film’s makers said that the rest of the cast and technical crew members of the film will be announced at the later stages of production.
“It is a big-budget film and known faces will come on board,” Vamsi said. Anand will also handle the screenplay and dialogues of the film, he mentioned.
While several Telugu films like Tuck Jagadish and Love Story, deferred their releases, due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, shooting for films like F3 have been stopped.
