Rumours were rife that director Suresh Krissna was planning to make a sequel to his 1995 blockbuster Baasha, starring Ajith Kumar. Suresj Krissna, though, dismissed the reports. “It feels happy to read about rumours circulating about Baasha. I really wish such rumours become true. But the truth is that I’m not directing Baasha 2 with Ajith Kumar, though I’d love to work with him. I mean, who doesn’t want to work with him ?” he said.
Baasha stills remains one of Rajinikanth’s best films and is still popular when aired on TV. Suresh Krissna had associated with Rajini for films like Annamalai, Baasha and Baba. His last film was Ilaignan starring lyricist Pa Vijay.
Suresh Krissna is now directing Lakshmi Vandhachu, a mega-serial.
