Sushant Singh Rajput will soon be directing and co-producing a science-fiction film along with business partner, Varun Mathur, reported Hindustan Times.
According to the report, the actor had initially signed up to star in Chanda Mama Door Ke, a space film. He had already started prepping for the film and also attended training sessions at NASA’s Space & Rocket Centre in Alabama. A photo of Sushant in full space gear was uploaded by film analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter.

“I am finally getting the chance to put all my studies to practice in this film,” Sushant earlier told Mid-Day. The film was to be directed and produced by Sanjay Puran Singh and Viki Rajani. R Madhavan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui were also part of the project.
However, with projects like Kedarnath, Drive and Son Chiriya in his pocket, the actor was unable to allot dates for Chanda Mama Door Ke and the film eventually did not take off. Sushant has now decided to make a space film on his own.
Talking about the subject of the film, co-producer Varun said: “Sushant’s passion for the moon and space is second to none in the film industry. He has unparalleled interest to learn more about the universe, and to delve into anything that might help him understand this phenomenon further.”
Meanwhile, the first look poster of Sushant’s Son Chiriya was recently released. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranveer Shorey and Ashutosh Rana. The film is set to release in February 2019.

Furthermore, last week Sushant was in news for buying a land on the far side of the Moon, in a region called the Mare Muscoviense, or the Sea of Muscovy.
On the work front, Sushant has a good line up. While the actor has already started shooting for the Bollywood remake of The Fault In Our Stars, sources reveal that a sequel to the M S Dhoni biopic is also on the cards.
If that’s not enough, Sushant will reportedly play a visually challenged man in Aankhen 2 and is also in talks for the Andaz Apna Apna reboot.
