Taapsee Pannu Says She Was Treated Unfairly In South Indian Film Industry

A report from Times of India states that actress Taapsee Pannu says she was treated unfairly during the early days of her career.

The actress revealed that she was asked to dub her lines differently because a few actors wanted them to be altered. When she refused, it was dubbed anyway by someone else.

She has also said that she faced some serious problems with her payments as some of her cheques bounced. Her male co stars, on the other hand, always got their payments on time.

The 29-year-old actress began her career in the Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam (2010) and followed it up with the National award winning Tamil film Aadukalam opposite Dhanush. She went on to star in many Telugu movies and a few Tamil ones. Her last release in Tamil was Kanchana -2 in 2015.

Her performance as a victim of sexual abuse in latest Hindi film Pink has been winning her rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. She is currently filming for the Hindi- Telugu bilingual Ghazi and Naam Shabana, a prequel to the 2015 action film Baby.
