Tamannaah Denies Being Upset Over Chopped Scenes In ‘Baahubali, The Conclusion’

Tamannaah, PC Sreeram,

Tamannaah Bhatia, who plays the warrior Avanthika in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali series, was reportedly miffed about her scenes being chopped in the latest installment. However, a Hindustan Times report quotes the actress saying reports of her being upset were just “baseless rumours”.

“This is (the) imagination of somebody who is very jobless. I am and will always be thankful to Rajamouli sir for casting me as Avanthika. This news is baseless and I am very happy that I worked in this film,” she said.

While she had substantial screen presence in the first film, the latest film had her on screen only briefly towards the end. Reports on Monday suggested that the actress was upset that there weren’t enough scenes with her in the final cut. A Deccan Chronicle report said that director Rajamouli, when cutting scenes that were low on computer-generated (CG) effects, cut a bulk of Tamannaah’s scenes, leaving the actress disappointed and miffed. The actress had reportedly charged Rs 5 crores for the project.

Baahubali 2 is a sequel to Baahubali, The Beginning (2015), and released two years after the first film. The movie stars Prabhas, Rana Dagubbati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishan, Nasser, and Rohini. It is currently reigning over most box-offices, and has made history by making Rs 1000 crores.
