The actress said her character was someone with physical and mental strength, and it was challenging to prepare for it. “There is a lot of mastery required in mind games, even when you’re playing them on-screen and that’s something that doesn’t come very easily to me. In reality I’m quite the opposite… so getting into this character will be quite intimidating,” she was quoted as saying by Midday.

Tamannaah has also signed her next Telugu film as lead actor. This is the third installment of the hit franchise Raju Gari Gadhi, directed by Omkar. The first film in the series released in 2015, and starred Ashwin Babu and Dhanya Balakrishna. The 2017 sequel starred  Nagarjuna Akkineni and Samantha Akkineni. The third installment is expected to begin shoot in June this year. Tamannaah said in a statement that this was a female-centric role, something that was on her wish list for 2019. “The narrative really excited me as I’m shuttling between two different eras and portraying two different personas. There is a lot of layering and it will be interesting to navigate  time zones.”

The producer of the film, actor Ram Charan, is reportedly considering a Dussehra release.

Tamannaah’s next film to hit screens is AL Vijay’s Devi 2, which is scheduled for April 12, 2019. The film also stars Prabhu Deva, Nandita Swetha, Jagan and Kovai Sarala. It is a sequel of the 2016 film Devi. The actor currently also has That is Mahalakshmi (the Telugu remake of Queen), directed by Prashanth Varma, which is slated for release soon.
