Tamil film Aruvi, an eco-socio political film that released on December 15 in Tamil Nadu, is already available on the internet. According to an International Business Times report, Aruvi was uploaded on various sites within 12 hours of its release. The group TamilRockers have already uploaded the film, which is available in low and decent quality.
Films in Tamil Nadu, in particular, have been at the receiving end of rampant piracy usually by the same group – TamilRockers. Several times, the leaking of a film hours after its release results in a poor turnout at theatres and thereby affects its box office collections. TFPC President and Nadigar Sangam’s General Secretary, Vishal Krishna, has for years been highlighting this issue, vowing to curb piracy soon.
Aruvi, directed by debutant Arun Prabu Purushothaman, stars Aditi Balan in the titular role, and is bankrolled by SR Prabhu’s Dream Warrior Pictures.
