The director’s association has requested the State Government to honour the memory of K Balachander by naming a street in Mylapore after him. Speaking at an event in the city, RK Selvamani, secretary of TANTIS said, “KB sir lived in Mylapore and is a legend. It is only fitting that a street in that area be named after him.” The association also wants the Government authorities to install a statue of the director in Luz Corner. Members of the group are planning to meet with the authorities soon to make sure their requests are met with.

K Balachander passed away last week, from age related ailments.
